Roman, Imperial period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A beautiful necklace composed of ancient beads made from stone, shell, and glass on a modern cord with a modern finding. Fourteen round glass beads of varying colors - yellow, blue, pink, and green - surround a beautiful quartzite pendant of triangular, bell-shaped form. Dozens of dark red glass and white shell seed beads compose the rest of the necklace. The contrasting colors form a fascinating color palette.
