Divine Kangxi Chinese Porcelain bell vase. The exterior is decorated with a pure white underglaze. A beautiful Fu-bat painting decorates the outer surface. soaring Fu-bat. The carp is accepted to represent longevity, wealth, abundance, and perseverance. Fu can be translated to mean bat, prosperity, good fortune, and can even delineate happiness. Long slender neck flows out into a feminine body and flat base. Enamel glazes of the early Qing dynasty were fired at a higher temperature which gives a more brilliant look as shown in this bottle vase. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman.
Mark on base, six blue underglazed script -KaiShu- characters, KangXi Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
