Rare Carved 'Yaozhou' Celadon Jar. Of the ovoid body potted on a slightly splayed foot rising to a short neck with rolled rim, carved in relief around the body with eight vertical lappet panels with raised borders each enclosing serrated slit, covered overall with a deep olive-toned glaze, pooling to a darker tone at the recessed areas, the flat base left unglazed revealing the fine gray ware, 4.5 inch high.
