Description
Lila Moore Keen (1903-1963) "Camellia-White" watercolor on paper, 13.5" x 9.5", signed lower left, excellent condition.
Called the Lady of the Camellias for her prize-winning camellia paintings. For her highly-regarded work that included watercolor floral paintings and portraits, she received innumerable national awards and honors. Many of her original works and prints are in the Oconee Regional Library in Laurens County, Georgia, where they were donated by her family.
Studied: Agnes Scott College and with known American artist Wayman Adams (1883-1959),
