OTTO ECKMANN (German 1865-1902) A GLAZED STONEWARE VASE WITH PATINATED BRONZE MOUNTS, "WATERLILIES," THE MOUNTS ATTRIBUTED TO OTTO SCHULZ, BERLIN, DESIGNED CIRCA 1898, the stoneware vase of flattened baluster form with mustard/ochre glaze at the lip developing into dripped striated green at the neck and waist, the patinated bronze mounts consisting of a stylized wave form collar, sweeping water lily handles, and overlapping water lily leaves at the foot, marked "OE" conjoined at the front and back, "VI" incised on bottom of mount. Height: 20" Width: 11 1/8" Depth: 6 5/8"

The stoneware in overall good to very good condition with no evidence of chips, nicks, cracks, or restoration; the mounts retain traces of gilding, with nearly full retention of gilt surface on the underside of the mounts.
