BOOKS: Rockwell Kent SIGNED This Is My Own 1st Ed, Rockwell Kent. This Is My Own. Duell, Sloan and Pearce, New York. 1940, first edition. Hardcover. 6"w x 9"h. 393 pages with drawings throughout by Kent. Inscribed on the half-title page "To Mrs Maurice Becker" and signed "Rockwell Kent 1941". Maurice Becker, a friend of Kent's, was an illustrator for radical magazines such as the New York "The Masses" and served several months in prison for being a conscientious objector; he was married to Dorothy Baldwin, an active socialist.
