DESCRIPTION: A Majolica figural vase by maker Joseph Holdcroft. The vase shows in a realistic rendition a heron standing with one leg, trapping a snake within its beak, atop a muddled base with an erected leaf pod. Finished with a gloss glaze and stamped underneath "Holdcroft".
