Striking French Antique 1920's-30's Table Lamp. Artist Geo Maxim. French Nouveau 3 Bulb Lamp depicting Statue of a Women fully absorbed passionately playing a song on her Cello. Statue with Metal Leaves The marble base has a smallbrass plaque that reads "La Chanson - Par Lombard (Medailie dÓr)" Translation: "The Song by Lombard "Gold Metal". A wonderful addition to any room! George Maxim was an artist working in Paris in the 20's and 30's, known for his statuesof women, which were often made into clocks or lamps. The statue has a cast signature (Geo Maxim) on the back. The statue is just lovely, with lots of detail. Spelter Bronze color. From the Estate of Everson Museum Director Sandra Trop. Measures approx. 24" high, Marble base 11" x 8" (JT-43)
