ANDERS ZORN (Swedish 1860-1920) "Edo" and Karl Asplund "Zorn's Engraved Work Part 1 and 2" Etching. Catalog of etchings (2 books) Sight: 8 1/4 x 5 7/8 inches; Frame: 16 1/2 x 13 1/2 inches. Each book measures: 13 x 10 3/8 inches. Signed in pencil lower right: Zorn; signed and dated in the plate lower right: Zorn 1907. The catalog was published in 1920 in Stockholm by A.B. H. Bukowski's Konsthandel and was translated by Edward Adams-Ray. This book is numbered 40. Each book had labels attached (they have since been removed) from A.B.H Bukowskie Konsthandel, Stockholm with their numbering upper right corner: No. 40. PROVENANCE: (for the books) Purchased from Frederick Keppel and Co. New York by Mrs. R. Reimer in 1921; he then attempted to sell them to Arthur H. Harlow & Co New York in 1944. [It seems they were unable to sell them.] (Documentation included with books) (Please contact Fine Art Dept. for full condition report.) Edo" was not examined out of the frame.
