French Renaissance Revival carved oak bibliotheque, late 19th century, having a stepped cornice with gadrooning and dentil molding above a foliate cabochon frieze interspaced with hound and lion heads, surmounting an arched glazed panel with a gadrooned frame flanked by conforming doors, opening to three shelves and interspaced with caryatids and trailing fruit garlands, resting on a rectangular cabinet top with a gadrooned edge above three frieze drawers having foliate cabochons interspaced with boar's heads, surmounting three doors centering high relief carved fruit and floral sprays tied with ribbon, opening to a single shelf, interspaced with conforming caryatids and fruit garlands, the whole resting on a stepped gadrooned plinth rising on compressed bun feet, 99"h x 85"w x 26"d.
