Late 19th or early 20th century Napoleon III style pietra dura inlaid cabinet in the Manner of Mathieu Befort (Befort Jeune) (French, 1813-1880), the ebonized body surmounted by an inlaid frieze of paneled pietra dura depicting berry clusters and flanked by bronze mounts in the form of two-handled urns, above the one door centering a ribbon suspending an oval cartouche depicting a bird amidst foliate sprays and berry clusters, flanked by mounted panels of similar fruit clusters, the whole within a Boulle-inspired pierced rocaille work border, flanked by reeded bronze pilasters with foliate swag mounts, the whole rising on a conforming base resting on four toupie feet, 65"h x 56"w x 21"d.
