Description

Philadelphia Chippendale/Hepplewhite Transitional Cherry Slant Lid Secretary Desk. Circa. 1790. Bookcase top with straight dentil and gothic blind fret molding above glazed doors with rectangular mullions over three shallow drawers. Lower section with slant lid, interior with floral carved architectural prospect door, flanked by fluted bookend drawers, and rectangular drawers and compartments. Four full width cock beaded dovetailed graduated drawers and bracket feet. 97-1/2"h. x 50"w. x 23-1/2"d. Condition: Good with losses, mostly on cornice, replaced brasses, feet reduced.
