This is a very nice older dance shield with protruding mask face , all carved from a single piece of heavy, dense wood. The Shield features red,white and black painted linear designs and a handle. The mask face appears to be a LUBA kifwebe mask face, though the Songye would also use such shields. The shield measures 38 x 12 inches.
