Description

Spectacular Rookwood Yellow Tinted Porcelain vase with cascading English ivy in shades of blue, red and green interspersed with bright yellow jonquils, the work of Kataro Shirayamadani in 1922. All the petals, veins and stems are outlined in black for added definition. Marks include the company logo, the date, shape number 835 B and the incised cypher of Shirayamadani. Height 11 3/8 inches. Uncrazed and in beautiful as made condition. Shiry Porcelains from this period are some of the most amazing pieces ever made at Rookwood.
