Description
Prince's 2000s Custom White Guitar Pick from 7161 Galpin Blvd. Home Acquired by Paisley Park Employee in Display Box W/(2) Letters of Provenance & Reference Documents - This custom white guitar pick was acquired from Prince's residence at 7161 Galpin Blvd. The pick has Prince's Love Symbol silkscreened in purple on one side and "Prince" on the other, and was designed by Prince and used at his home. The home was a custom built 3 story mansion in Chanhassen, MN where Prince lived for more than a decade. In the fall of 2005 Prince decided to have the home demolished rather than sell it. Paisley Park production assistant Andrew Eastvold, nicknamed "Mountain Man" by Prince, was put in charge of cleaning out the residence and supervising the move from the Galpin Blvd. home to the Los Angeles home rented from NBA star Carlos Boozer. He found several picks in Prince's bedroom, and Prince told him he could keep them, as he was a fellow musician. Andrew worked for Prince from 2004-2010 and did odd jobs at Paisley Park. The pick will be accompanied by a letter of provenance from Eastvold, along with an additional letter from the current owner and copies of checks written to Eastvold signed by Prince. The pick will come housed in an acrylic display box.
