1987 NY Mets Baseball Signed by 30+ Players including Carter, Dykstra, Gooden, Hernandez, Myers, Robinson, Strawberry and More!
Rawlings RO-N model baseball, an Official National League A. Bartlett Giamatti sphere, red-stitched animal hide, signed by 31 New York Mets players, coaches, and managers in ball-point blue pen during the 1987-1988 season. Housed in a clear plexiglass case. Comes with a JSA Letter of Authenticity dated November 1, 2017 and signed by Managing Member James J. Spence, Jr.
The baseball was signed by 31 Mets including manager Davey Johnson (sweet spot); coach Bill Robinson; catcher and Baseball Hall of Famer Gary Carter; pitchers Dwight Gooden and Randy Myers; outfielders Len Dykstra and Darryl Strawberry; infielder Keith Hernandez, and many more.
The New York Mets had a 92-70 record during their 1987 season and were ranked second in the National League East. They faced off against Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Montreal, St. Louis, San Diego, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, and Houston while traveling and at home games in Shea Stadium. Local television and radio affiliates broadcast the games.
