A Louis XVI style gilt bronze mounted walnut three piece part bedroom suite
Berkey & Gay Furniture Co.

Comprising a dressing chest, a tall chest of drawers and a night stand
the dressing chest height 77in (196cm); width 55in (140cm); depth 24in (61cm)

Condition

Nicely made. Highly figured veneer. Mounts good quality. General marks, scratches, rubbing and wear. Darkening to mounts. With cracking and lifting to veneer in areas, particularly to top of night stand Scattered losses to veneer in areas. Left side of dressing chest with finsih gone. Spotty streaks remain. Finish to front and right side mostly gone. Pieces would benefit from refinishing, Lifting to mounts in areas. Later braces to back of vanity mirror - timber from checks broken out of old support areas. No keys. Some label residue in areas. Structurally sound.
