Medium: pochoir (after the watercolor). Published in 1969 for the rare "Tableaux Vivants" portfolio, issued in Milan by Edizioni del Naviglio. This is a splendid impression on Aussedat wove paper from an edition of 650, printed in Paris by pochoir master Daniel Jacomet. The total sheet measures 11 1/4 x 7 1/2 inches (285 x 190mm). Not signed. Sonia Delaunay-Terk had a passion for costume design and this charming art deco piece is one of the abstract figure studies that she executed during the 1920's. Elements of her signature abstract-geometrical style are incorporated here into a figurative composition. Connoisseurs of Modern Art will recall that Sonia Delaunay married the French Abstract-Cubist painter Robert Delaunay.
