Metal Inkwells, 19th century, a) Seated ceramic cat, with a hinged head which reveals the original ceramic insert. b) Aesthetic period cast metal inkstand with pen, letter holder, and a glass well, patent date cast into the base: November 5, 1879.
Dimensions are: a) 3" high X 2.3/4" long X 2" deep, b) 5 1/4" high X 5 3/4" long X 5 1/4" deep. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: No noted damage.
Provenance: From the personal and private collection of a former member of the Foreign Service and her husband.
