Description
An exceptional example made from a large branch of staghorn, the obverse polished smooth and finely incised overall in complex geometrical and talismanic motifs, the obverse with applied brass escutcheon with the Hungarian crest and the owner’s name, ISAIAH GYULA. With separately-applied combined cap, measure and spout, and iron suspension lugs as is typical. Beginning of the 19th century. Minor wear. For similar see B.
