First quarter 20th century, 187 x 125 cm, South West Persia, Fars
This Qashqa’i is probably a weaving by the Bolvardi tribe. Three hexagonal medallions are aligned on the central axis of the red field, with blossoms of varying shapes and sizes, serrated leaves and several representations of birds arranged around them. The white-ground main border shows octagonal blossoms placed between horizontal plants. – Good condition, original selvedges.
