possibly Ming dynasty, seated figure with flowing robes, down cast eyes, wearing bracelet and necklace, holding a scroll in clasped fingers, sitting on a base of swirling clouds, inscribed on base, 22 x 15 x 10 in.; with copy of invoice from Vallin Galleries, Wilton, CT, outlining "Kuan Yin-Dong Kne Ware, inscription on base dedicates it to Kai-Yuan Buddhist Monastery in the 43rd year of the Ming emperor Wanli (1615 A.D.)"

crazing, restoration to hand, loss to fingers, firing anomalies, some chipping to edges
