Item Details

Description

This is a pair of US Army, Cavalry Saddle Bags from the Civil War. Each side has the embossed "U.S." stamped into the leather, but one side is very faint. The leather is still supple, but the flap edges are curling up a bit. It has a few old, leather lace repairs, but it is all original. Still retains 5 1/2 of the 6 long leather straps, and the 6 buckles, which hold the flaps closed.
