Description
East Asia, China, late Sui Dynasty to early Tang Dynasty, ca. late 6th to early 7th century CE. A ceramic figure of a man dressed in a distinctive tunic with a curved hat, with a pale green, smooth glaze over his pink-pigmented surface. Figures like this one were made to be placed into a tomb and probably represent courtiers, with well-detailed clothing giving us a good idea of how elite people dressed during this time period. Size: 2.65" W x 10" H (6.7 cm x 25.4 cm)
