Infantry Officer's Eagle-Head sword by well-known ornamental sword maker F. W. Widman of Philadelphia, featured as American Eagle Pommel Sword in the volume by E. Andrew Mowbray, p. 189, having a mother of pearl plaque grip which is fairly rare to this cutler, the blade is decorated with bright panel etching, the hilt accented with three eagles, the eagle head, the spread eagle on the guard, and the small eagle at the center of the knuckle bow, the knuckle bow is also decorated with rosettes and chevrons. 36" overall
