Description
ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE PEARLWARE CERAMIC ROYAL COAT OF ARMS VASE with a central crown flanked by a lion and a unicorn, the motto "DIEU ET MON DROIT" below, and the back marked "WALTON". The spill vase is mounted to a later hand-painted wooden base with three pegs. John Walton, Burslem. Circa 1820. 6 3/4" HOA, 6 7/8" x 3 7/8" (wood base).
Several scattered moderate chips/losses overall, unicorn with glued areas, with glaze flakes throughout.

Provenance: Property deaccessioned by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Williamsburg, VA. All proceeds to benefit the Collections Acquisition Fund.
