A LOUIS XV STYLE GILT METAL MOUNTED AND POLYCHROME PAINTED CARVED WOOD VITRINE, LATE 20TH CENTURY, the arched cornice centering a reticulated scrolling pendant above a bombé glazed door, over a lower painted panel illustrating a courting couple in 18th century attire amidst a rural landscape, opening to a yellow silk lined interior, raised on short cabriole legs ending in scrolled sabots. A fragment of ormolu now lacking from the trim at the right side panel,occasional stain drips, mild chips and losses of the veneer, most notable at back left top side panel and one foot, some mild stains on the interior fabric, but otherwise in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
