H. GRYEL, A FLORAL AND PHEASANT STILL LIFE PAINTING, PROBABLY DUTCH, FIRST HALF 19TH CENTURY, a flowering twisted stem goblet left of a pheasant with one foot atop an ostrich egg issuing stems of flower blooms, oil on canvas, signed L/L. 25" x 34"
Condition
Some minor chips, most with inpainting, craquelure throughout, and general expected surface wear. Has a 19th century canvas liner and resortations. Examined under ultraviolet light and a varnish appears throughout with some areas of later inpainting. Could use a cleaning, but otherwise in very good, stable condition.
