AN ANTIQUE JAPANESE SILVER LEAF AND PARCEL GILT BLACK LACQUER BOX, LATE MEIJI PERIOD, CIRCA 1900, with a rectangular hinged lid centering an interior scene of a seated musician playing a stringed instrument for two maidens partially concealed by a screen yet confronting an eavesdropping youth before seated functionaries, opening to a black lacquered interior within similarly lacquered sides, underside enclosing large "ROBERT L. PERRIN INTERIORS," label. Height: 2 1/4" Width: 7" Depth: 5 3/4"

Condition
