Carved Chinese cinnabar storage box in a rounded form. Ovoid shape detailed with incredible hand carved designs in relief. Floral patterns carved around the edge of the lid with a large Chinese character carved at the flattened top section. Cinnabar colored in a beautiful crimson red with darker shades within the grooves and edges that truly bring the detail to life. The underside with carved Qianlong six characters reign mark in gilt, Qing Dynasty.
