Pair of Chinese white jade carved double gourd pendants. Each carved in slab in a double gourd shapes with relieved details on the exterior. Jade is a fine clean even tone, white color with beautiful translucent.

Jim Francis was a true scholar having a degree in English his early career started as a professor at a community college in Kentucky. During the Vietnam era he became an instructor for the US Air Force. When computers first started becoming popular Jim became a software engineer which lead him to a career in being a method analyst for a major hospital group. While working with Doctors from different cultures Jim became an avid collector of Chinese items, His widow has placed his treasured articles to be sold at auction.
