A rare Chinese LuJun glaze (also called a jade candle ware) porcelain reward vase, of celestial shape form, heavier to lower body leading to waisted prominent tall neck with flared rim, and raised upon a splayed footed base. With characterizing dragon reliefs ornament sprigging on the shoulder. The surface of the glaze has a fluid appearance with a splash of purplish colors melting together to create abstracted effect against a turquoise-green ground underglaze. Elegantly displayed upon a carved hardwood stand.
The underbase with incised Qianlong six script characters reign mark in gilt overglaze, Qing Dynasty.
