Siberian Yupik Shaman "Nanai" Necklace INUIT From St. Lawerence Island, bear the Bering Straits: early 20th century Siberian Yupik shamanic tool, carved from animal materials and minerals, with jewerly (please, admire the particulars in th photos). This necklace belonged to a spiritual preceptor (shaman Quikil) of the Nemelan Koriak ethnic group of the Krai region of Kamchatka - villages on the Bering coast. This type of necklace is also called Nanai or the spirit of the listeners, used as protection and communication with the ancestors. It was part of the "Ancestral Collection", owned from the FSA organization and it was recently exopsed to "Museo d'Arte e Scienza di Milano", Italy.
