Eagle pommel American Naval officer's sword, c. 1825-1835. By family tradition it belonged to Stephen E. McLoughlin, Sr. of Philadelphia, brass eagle pommel, with anchor and eagle over the ricasso, grip wrapped with twisted wire, blade engraved with floral scrolls, some bluing apparent, but with considerable pitting, scabbard missing except for one brass mount, 32" l overall
