Two large and early woodblock print books. Handwritten note at top of what appears to be title page states, "(Itsukushina Miyajima)" with "Fuji hiko" written below it. First book has 76 pages with title page in color and a beautiful 2-page spread in color of a bucolic harbor scene. There are also several black and white prints in the book including a dramatic 2-page portrait of a black horse. The second book has a 2-page spread in color featuring two large evil-looking characters, another page of color with two characters and several other pages of prints including battle scenes and other depictions. The first volume has a torn label and several small ink spots on the front cover. Rear cover has small evidence of insect damage plus a 2” tear or crack. Appears to also be a very faint water stain at top right corner of rear cover. Both covers are worn around the edges. String-bound, with the string complete and in working order. Inside there is a small bit of insect damage at the top of the first few pages. Interior quite nice except for one tiny bi t of insect damage at the same location on a number of pages. On the second volume the label is mostly intact with wear to front and rear covers similar to first volume. Also string-bound which is intact and in working order. Interior similar to first volume. Good overall. Approximately 60 pages in second volume.
