late 19th/early 20th century; broken arch pediment, three turned finials, dentil molded cornice, compartment enclosed by glazed panel door, flanked by turned columns with ionic caps, central drawer, solid panel door opening to compartment, flanking turned columns, ionic caps, carved paw feet, 92 in. H., 35 in. W.; Collection of US Senator, Millard Evelyn Tydings and his wife Eleanor Davies Tydings. From the private collection at Oakington Estate, Havre de Grace, MD. Then by descent, estate of US Senator Joseph Davies Tydings, Maryland.
Condition
Finish distressed, left side, base beading missing , age scratches and wear overall. Converted to gun case.
