The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám
This is the Macmillan and Company (London) small format (app. 4.25' x 6") 1920 publication of The Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám. This copy, apparently recovered but with no attribution as to bindery, is in very good overall condition. The full leather teal blue cover, with extensive gold designs and lettering, has light scuffs but no notable stains, a few spot chips to the color but with no overall color loss The spine, straight and with 5 raised bands, gold design and gold lettering, is securely connected, and with no notable wear to the bands or gold. The only attachment is a small bookstore stamp (W. H. Smith and Son, 248 rue de Rivoli, Paris), glued to the bottom of the front inside cover. There are no other stamps, no writing or notations. Several otherwise blank end pages have foxing, most of which is moderate. Other than a few spot stains the pages are clean, with no substantial stains, no fade or other wear to the lettering. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages. There are no page tears or creases
