Both of native nephrite jade, the ancient burial piece of flattened bird form, the domed top surface is relief carved with designs related to the Warring States period of 5th century B.C., the flat back incised carved, perhaps bird heads. Bow drilled at sides of bird head for use as a pectoral. 2.25" long x 1.75" wide x 1/2" thickest. Also, a crouching bear figure of probable Ming era, possibly the into 18th C. Ching, With pug nose, it may be an allegory of pig/bear, from blackish to lighter browns, mottled and banded colors. Well rounded, 2.25" long x 1.25" high x 7/8" wide. Both nice condition.
