With "upwards of three hundred illustrations" on steel and wood from sketches by the author. Includes a glossary of Arctic terms. In publisher's brown stamped cloth with title in gilt on the spine. Plates lightly foxed; occasional corner, top edge damp stain; bookplates on front cover pastedowns; some fraying of spine ends. Still, in very good condition.
