730. ARTHUR SZYK (1894-1951). Artist and illustrator who fled the Nazis in his native Poland, immigrating to America in 1940. He was the leading political caricaturist during WW II. His works celebrating human rights and civil liberties were exhibited in both Europe and America. Collection of five DsS, bank checks drawn on The First National Bank & Trust Co., New Canaan, CT, Apr 24, 1947 -Nov 12, 1948. All boldly signed and completed in his hand.
