Description

Antique kettle trivet, made of thick cast brass. Reticulated design, with diamond-shape ornamentation. Four legs, which screw onto the body. Well marked on underside - W.T. & S. under a Sun mark, R-d 607166. Cast by William Tonks & Sons of 3 Hill Street, Birmingham, England, a prominent maker of metalware during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Design Registry Mark (R-d 607166) dates it to the year 1912-1913. Measurements: Approx. 10" x 5" x 4.4" high. | See our special $5 starting bid lots at the end of this auction!
