Continental, Early 20th Century, Sevres-type porcelain & brass blotter cover, interior with 2 paper pockets, fold-over blotter. Engraved brass cover frame with 6 porcelain panels, oval center panel with courting couple in a landscape, pink fabric interior. Approx. 11" x 8 1/4". Provenance: From a prominent Private Collection, Atlanta, Georgia.

Condition

Mounts loose and need tightening. Scattered visible surface scratches throughout including on central porcelain scene. Light oxidation to metal elements. Water damage on interior fabric. Fraying to fabric elements and light wear to velvet. Lower right plaque most loose. Minor wear and losses to enamel at edges where rubbing against metal. Interior page with remnants of writing.
