Description

These are 2 lithographs of Jozef Pilsudski. Jozef Klemens Pilsudski GCTE was a Polish statesman who served as the Chief of State and First Marshal of Poland. He was considered the de facto leader of the Second Polish Republic as the Minister of Military Affairs.

The first piece shows him on an ornate frame and border of leaves, with 3 crests and a saying underneath. This translates as "Love for a homeland is a duty of every Pole". The first piece is approximately 18 3/8 x 14 and is in generally very good condition with a couple small tears in the border and a few small holes in the bottom. The second piece is a more formal scene with the dates 1867 and 1935 the top of the oval and the name underneath. This is in very good condition and is approximately 18 1/2 inches high by 14 5/8 inches wide.
