A rare old hand hammered iron dance shield, Kirdi ethnic group, Cameroon, West Africa. A unusual form for a traditional hand hammered iron shield from the Kirdi peoples. Note the stylized form and the addition of floral motifs. A very nice old field used example. The Shield Measures 33 inches tall x 19 inches wide.

Condition

Fair, rusted, a few areas of decay.
