Enicar was founded by Ariste Racine in 1914. The legendary Sherpa line of sports models was known for its quality case construction, courtesy of the case manufacturer, EPSA. The present example has a very attractive amber color change dial. The Sherpa Guide is a GMT watch with the second time zone adjusted by turning the top crown. The outer bezel is for calculating world time. The present example with its original bracelet is a rare find.

Dial with fine black spots and areas of discoloration. Luminous material has turned darker and is missing from some of the hour markers and significant areas of the hands. Crystal with significant crazing throughout. Case likely unpolished with scratches throughout commensurate with age and regular wear. Movement running at time of cataloging.
