Description
A choice Etruscan bronze figure of priestess, c. 3rd Century BC, wearing chiton and himation, and holding a phiale and globe, her features well-detailed and hair nicely styled into a coiled plait at the back of her head. H: 3 3/4 in (9.5 cm). Beautifully preserved with glossy olive-brown patina. With removeable antique square marble base. Ex Harold Whitbeck estate, San Francisco CA; Ex Faustus Ancient Art, London, purchased 1980's-1990's.
