Description
A fantastic Roman bronze figure of a goddess, 1st - 2nd Century AD, wearing chiton and himation and holding a cornucopia, her hair styled in waves to the sides of a large pointed diadem and rolled into a coiled plait at the nape of her neck. Her features are well-detailed and the original silvering remaining in the eyes. H: 3 3/4 in (9.5 cm). A beautiful Roman bronze professionally cleaned with a lovely olive-green patina. Ex Barstow, CA family collection acquired prior to 1990.
