Description
A nice coin of Roman emperor Nero, AD 54 - 68 AD, AE-Dupondius, struck AD 65 at Rome. The obverse with legend NERO CAESAR AVG GERM IMP, laureate head of Nero right, the reverse with PACE PR TERRA MARIQ PARTA IANVM CLVSIT, Temple of Janus with latticed window to left and closed doors to right. RIC 300. Brown surfaces. 28 mm, 13.60g. Nearly very fine. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
