Victorian Mahogany Triple-Section Bookcase

third quarter 19th century, the molded cornice over three glazed doors, each with a cartouche and leaf carving at its top, the ends with fluted and carved pilasters.

In as-found condition with scattered shrinkage, mars, abrasions and wear. The case is sturdy and stable. The pulls are later additions. The locks are present and key functional. There are significant veneer losses to the base, and some veneer chips along the perimeter edges of the doors. Shelves are not present although there are shelf holders inside.
