Poraj 1873 - Paris 1951

Painter associated with the environment École de Paris - was essentially self-taught, although temporarily studied in Munich and Paris. He traveled a lot; outside Europe was in India, North Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

From 1911 he lived permanently in Paris, where he had several solo exhibitions. Also he exhibited in Venice, Brussels and several times in Poland.

His paintings are characterized by individual style of painting - in landscapes, still lifes and portraits used the colors vivid, saturated and often sharply contrasting with each other.Paint impose a broad brush or spatula, giving images a rich and dense, meaty texture painting.
